Our first proper week

So this is our first proper week and we started it by walking across town to a language school and sorting out some Spanish Conversation classes with Luka.  We decided how easy it would be to just stay with what we know and not progress with our learning Spanish.  So we've signed up for some lessons and let's see how we get on.

Afterwards we took ourselves off around the city again,  looking out some restaurants and bars which might be interesting.  Visited El Corte Ingles (the English Court - I don't know why!) a department store and bought a steamer for the kitchen, gosh what an exciting time we are having, and then it was coffee and pastry for Rod.

There is food everywhere here, and the Spanish love their snacks! so we are becoming Spanish it seems, we have to try everything, and Rod is taking it to heart.

Off walking after lunch down to the Turia Gardens via El Torres de Serranos, this wonderful imposing gatehouse.

The Turia was a river that ran right around the old city, and about 50 years ago after a terrible flood, they diverted it, and in its place is a park.  We are doing a bit at a time.  It has some great bridges across and lovely parks and sports places.  A lung for the old town.
