It's all over the place

Hi, the next few blogs will be all over the place as I haven't been on for a week now and we've had visitors and we've done loads.

Yvonne and Roger have now left us and we are now back to normal with the washing, cleaning and a Spanish lesson this afternoon.  Of course we haven't done any Spanish for over a week, so I have forgotten everything and I am now cramming for this afternoon.

Oh and it's raining for some reason.  The weather report got that wrong for today.

We heard a racket going on late last night in Cathedral Square and woke to find some numpties had emptied a bottle of fairy liquid into the fountain.  Foam everywhere this morning and the local council all standing around scratching their heads, wondering how to clean it up.

Yvonne and Roger turned up late on Thursday night, and we celebrated with a glass of wine and some nibbles.

The first day was walking around.  We went to the Lonja de Seda, the original silk exchange.  A beautiful building with a courtyard garden.

The Cathedral.  Thought the Euro 6 to get in was a bit hefty, but what a beautiful place with a fabulous museum.  Worth it.

If you want to have a baby you are supposed to leave flowers at this shrine and then walk around the cathedral inside six time.  Voila, a baby will come.

Most of the art in the Cathedral was about 500 years old except for two pieces, one above.  It had no information and I will try and find out some more about it.  Wondered if it was the lost people of the Civil War.

Lovely Statue

Beautiful Carved front to the Cathedral

We then went to the archeological museum, which again was a fab surprise.
